We work in the spaces where design meets health.

Our partners profit from wide-ranging expertise, an international network of experts and a unique infrastructure supporting simulations and tests on a 1:1 scale, whether this be in the role of customers contracting for services or collaborative research partners or in the context of professional development.

Design and health
The SCDH understands design as the creation of spaces, settings, objects, information, digital solutions, services and processes.
Health is both a personal and societal value, and one that extends beyond the mere absence of illness. The common good and the autonomy of individuals in all areas of life are always front and center.
The overlap between design and health is a large one. This is because design can have a preventative effect, promote healing, enhance people’s sense of well-being and influence them in positive ways – and do so anywhere that they play, learn, work or live, be that a health institution, a public space, or in their professional or private world.
Approach
Human-centred: We put people, in all of their diversity, and their needs front and centre.
Evidence based: We base our work on scientific findings.
Participative: We make all stakeholders part of the process right from the start.
Wir beziehen alle Beteiligten von Anfang an mit ein.
Iterative: We gradually draw closer to solutions.
